At first glance, it is hard to imagine that there is still room for art and culture between a six-lane highway and 25-story residential buildings. Or is that the very reason? As a non-conformist field of tension between urban development, spatial potential and undeveloped terrain, the area seems to have a strong appeal for artists and cultural workers. During a curator’s tour of the exhibition Jan Groover / The 30s x 40s, followed by a discussion, Leipziger Strasse will therefore be brought into focus as a new location for art and culture.
